Provenance, plainly.

mogkit is built on the work of named people. This page tracks anything on the site that came from outside the project, plus the prototype decisions that shaped what shipped.

Chrome surfboard hero

The chrome board on the home page is generated procedurally — a tapered lathe with a Standard chrome material under a single key light. No third-party model is shipped with the site.

During design exploration we considered loading a Sketchfab-sourced GLB (a CC-BY-4.0 asset). We dropped it in favor of procedural geometry — smaller bundle, no licensing friction, and the single-light Voidchrome treatment lands the same intent. If a custom-modeled board ever ships here it'll be credited on this page.

Methodology

Every mogkit skill names the craft tradition it encodes in its frontmatter. The deepest debts:

  • Teresa Torres — Continuous Discovery Habits; the Opportunity Solution Tree.
  • Rob Fitzpatrick — The Mom Test.
  • Marty Cagan — INSPIRED, EMPOWERED.
  • Working Backwards (Bryar & Carr) — six-pager and narrative-led planning.
  • Fisher & Ury — Getting to Yes; the positions-vs-interests frame behind stakeholder-map.
  • Sean Ellis & Morgan Brown — Hacking Growth; the North Star / input-metrics decomposition behind metrics-tree.

Typography & iconography

  • Inter Tight + Inter — Rasmus Andersson (Google Fonts, OFL).
  • JetBrains Mono — JetBrains (Google Fonts, OFL).
  • The mogkit wordmark is plain typography; there's no logo lockup in v1.

Software

  • Astro, Tailwind, MDX, Pagefind — power the site.
  • React Three Fiber + three.js — power the chrome surfboard hero.
  • Claude Code — the agent every mogkit skill runs inside.
